WEEK OF TUESDAY JULY 24 to JULY 27

Well, hi there! So yet another week is upon us and it is my duty, nay my pleasure, to impart upon you the  wondrous festivities we have arranged for you this week. So here it goes good sirs!

Today, which just happens to be Tuesday, we will BUILD A BRIDGE at 2pm. At 4pm there will be a CROKINOLE TOURNAMENT. Cat will be leading any interested youths in a NEATURE WALK, that's right I said NEATURE. Because let's face it, nature is neat and shall therefore be evermore referred to as neature. And finally, at 7pm we will be delving into our creative sides by PAINTING ON CANVAS.

On Wednesday July 25 we will be spending some time, starting at 2pm, IMPROVING YOUR BRIDGE. At 4pm there will be GYMNASTICS. Anna will be taking 6 youths ROCK CLIMBING at Grand River Rocks, leaving the YC at 6:30pm (cost of $10). At 7pm we will be playing CRANIUM.

On Thursday, at 2pm, we will be testing our bridge building abilities by conducting a BRIDGE STRENGTH CONTEST. Let's see what kind of future architects we have in our midst. At 4pm we will be getting into the Olympic spirit by having fun with SOCCER BALL BOUNCING. And we have a new and totally awesome activity planned in the evening. At 6pm Anna will be going to Waterloo Park to experience for the very first time MUSIC & MOVIE IN WATERLOO PARK, this evenings cinematic feature will be Dr. Seuss' The Lorax. So bring a blanket or chair (or any other kind of bum seat), a sweater and some snacks.

FRIDAY, oh Friday...how we love you! And on this most glorious Friday we will be WALKING DOWNTOWN at 3pm. At 5pm we will be MAKING A SNACK (bring your quarter, costs $0.25). At 7pm we will be having a SCAVENGER HUNT RACE. And finally, at 8pm SUPER NINTENDO...woohoo!

Well, I think I covered everything we have planned but remember some of our most amazing adventures have been unplanned! So make sure you get your parents to sign your "Spontaneous Outings" permission form and that way you'll never miss a single moment of YOUTH CENTRE AMAZINGNESS!

My dearest readers, I am so very sorry for my recent absence from the blogging world. But alas, it is summer and I have been much too busy having a WICKED COOL time here at the YC and as such I have let my blogging duties suffer!! But excuses are lame, so please accept my humblest apologies. But seriously, we have been chillin' like a villain and getting it on like Donkey Kong and any other super cool saying your pretty little heads can come up with. Soooo, now that we've got that all cleared up let's take a moment to prepare ourselves for the awesomeness of this glorious week that has only just began.

At 7:oo p.m. tonight the Youth Centre will be going swimming but before you count yourself out...wait for it....wait for it...it's LANE SWIMMING RACES!!! So get your spirit on and GO FOR THE GOLD. This limited time opportunity to achieve Youth Centre greatness is available to you at a one time cost of $2.50 and if your not completely satisfied with your purchase...had you going...there is no way in this ever expanding universe that you will not be satisfied. I mean, who was I kidding! Haha, you know you missed me :)

Also at 7:00 p.m.there will be an amusing game of Wii MARIO KART. Now, we all know I am the most amazing driver on this planet (although I am so confident that I might challenge any otherworldy beings out there and therefore claim ultimate title of best driver EVER.) Ok, back to planet Earth. So like I was saying...7 p.m. or 19:00 military time will be Mario Kart time. Be there or not...but you definitely should.

Ahhh, I have missed you readers...and I feel like we just had a moment so I will remind you that the Youth Centre's summer hours have taken effect. Which means we are open from 1p.m. to 10p.m. and we have air conditioning and cold pop...so come by and say "Hi".

Well, it's hot and I just exhausted myself entertaining you so I will sign off once again.

THURSDAY JULY 5, 2012

I've got a question for you. In fact, I've got twenty of them! Whoa, don't get scared...it will be fun. At 3p.m. we will be playing 20 QUESTIONS.

At 7p.m. it's time to rock your socks off. How will we be going about such an awkward task you might ask? Well, it's really quite simple. We will be playing some GUITAR HERO. Let's see those socks fly of your stinky little toes.

At 7:30p.m. Cat will be going SWIMMING, so why not join her? There will even be a DIVE & CANNONBALL CONTEST. So pack your suit and towel and maybe your rubber ducky friend. It costs $2.50...a steal really for an evening of H2O wickedness!

It's hot and sticky out there. And what's the best thing to do on a hot and sticky day? Well, anything with water of course. At 3p.m. Cat and Brynna (have you met our summer student Brynna yet? If not you just must, she's pretty cool and you can't not know her. See, she's so cool that the rules of English simply don't apply) will be playing DRIP DRIP DROP. Aaahhh, it's so refreshing!

At 7p.m. you have a choice in activities. You can either play KINECT ADVENTURES or participate in a  BASEBALL THROW.

And to end a lovely summer day we will be DECORATING THE YC FOR SUMMER. That's right, we will be bringing some beauty and style to the YC, jazzing it up a bit. It's going to be lovely, just lovely!

It's JULY!! Craziness, I say. To bring in this most special of months we will be rocking the ROCK BAND anytime. Let's rock.

At 7p.m. there will be a HOCKEY SHOOT OUT

And to top off a nice and relaxed evening we will be indulging in some sandwiches. I won't get all philosophical on you but you still need to decided if you want tomato or not. So come on in to the YC and make this most important and possibly life altering decision. Oh tomatoes, how are you so magical?
