It's a fairly relaxed afternoon here at Woolwich Youth Centre. Our brain boost activity is CRAZY 8 COUNTDOWN. Our evening event is KINECT ADVENTURES.


We've got some bad news: our trip to go see SEUSSICAL has been cancelled. Sorry folks we know you were excited to go see it, we were too but alas tickets sold out weeks ago :-(

Instead we are happy to announce an exciting trip to the Waterloo SWIMPLEX...yay!!! So grab your water wings and let us get our swim on.

Full day of activities planned at the WCS Youth Centre. Come play Go Fish, basketball, guitar and/or piano. Drop in anytime from Tuesday through Friday, 3:00-5:30pm and 6:00-10:00pm. For more information contact Catherine or Anna at (519) 669-3539.

FRIDAY APRIL 20, 2012

So are you ready to have your mind blown?!??!! WARNING: prepare yourself for the most amazing Friday in the history of forever. I'm talking dinosaurs and cave people would be jealous of what we've got going on today.

Are you ready for it?

I don't think your ready. Take a second, calm yourself and take a deep breath because..........

We are playing SCRABBLE :) That's right folks, our brain boost activity today is a game of SCRABBLE.

That's it, nothing else going on today. See you Tuesday.......joking! The fun has just started.

Cat will be leading a Youth Centre outing to the BUTTERFLY CONSERVATORY. Departure time is 3:00 p.m. sharp. Make sure you have gotten your permission form in. I highly recommend going, it's really cool beans.

Then at 6:30 p.m. Anna will be taking the Youth Centre to GRAND RIVER ROCKS, a rock climbing gym in Kitchener. Come and challenge yourself. See how high you can climb or what grade you can achieve, I promise you'll love it!

So with all that amazingness going on you would think there couldn't possibly be anything more scheduled tonight. But guess what folks, there's MORE!!! I know you don't believe me but it's true!

Our evening event is MOVIE & POPCORN and we will also be playing BALL HOCKEY at 7:00 p.m.

That's it, that's all I've got. I'm exhausted from all that craziness, so we will see you TUESDAY!

THURSDAY APRIL 19, 2012

Our brain boost activity for the afternoon is DOMINOES

We will be getting active around 7:00 p.m. by playing some hoops. No peach baskets here, I'm talking the totally new and modern game of BASKETBALL...we even have a proper net. Only the best for our members!!

At 8:00 p.m. we are expanding our minds to the infinite extremes of the universe and did you know that it was recently discovered that the universe is actually growing with no end in sight!!??! So we should be able to increase our intelligence by at least a mega-zillion. Come play JEOPARDY

Bob will be gracing us with his awesome presence this evening. Listen to, learn or play guitar with him at 9:00 p.m.

See you at the Youth Centre and watch out for the craziest Friday in the history of humankind. You won't even believe the Friday we have planned for you!

It's Wednesday and we have some wonderfully wacky things scheduled!

First we will be playing CRANIUM for our brain boost activity

At 7:00 p.m. there is a JUNIOR ROUND TABLE scheduled, let's sit down and talk it out. Bring in your ideas.

Just keep swimming, just keep swimming, swimming, swimming, swimming. So who wants to go for a run? JOKING :) At 8:00 p.m. we are going to AQUAFIT to get our swim on. Bring your suit and just keep swimming...hehehe

If none of the above is awesome enough for you, the Youth Centre will have an all evening BEADING STATION. Make something beautiful for yourself or someone special.

Tonight it's all about ANNA!!! Personally, I can't think of anything better but perhaps I'm slightly biased??!!? So, what exactly will Anna be doing tonight you may ask. Well, tonight Anna will be leading a most wonderful exploration into the world of edibles. In other words, it's MAKE A SNACK WITH ANNA NIGHT!!!!! Woohooo, I know....you can't contain your excitement.

So come on in to the Youth Centre at or around 7:30 to help make a snack and help eat it too ;)

THURSDAY APRIL 12, 2012

The brain boost activity for today is CROKINOLE.

It's Thursday which means it's BOB day!! Woohoo, Bob rocks. He will be jamming, so bring in your musical instrument and join in. Lets see what kind of awesome sounds we come up with together.

Last but not least the Youth Centre will be attempting the downward facing dog and the child's pose, come out and challenge yourself. Yoga starts at 6:45 p.m.

WEDNESDAY APRIL 11, 2012

Was it Professor Plum, Colonel Mustard or Cat? The brain boost activity for the evening is CLUE...that Cat has been very suspicious lately, come figure out the mystery!

She shoots, he scores...BALL HOCKEY at 7:00pm. Be there or be square, square like a hockey net! Ha, you know you love us :)

If your not in the mood for outdoor sports, stay inside and rock the GUITAR HERO for the evening event.

Busy tonight folks. On top of all the above awesomeness we also have 2 meetings. At 7:00pm there is a YOUTH COUNCIL MEETING and at 8:00pm there is a BIRTHDAY PARTY MEETING

We are getting creative tonight at The Youth Centre, crafting with Cat is our evening event! Come out and use your imagination to create something awesome.

Our calendar says we have a Gym Night this evening but unfortunately all GYM NIGHTS in APRIL are CANCELLED due to scheduling conflict. Instead they will happen in May so stay tuned. So, what will we do tonight you might ask. Come out and make a suggestion on how we can be active tonight, maybe the usual ball hockey or maybe we will keep those creative juices going and think of something new and crazy radical. The only way to know is to come out and chill with us :)

Thursday April 5: Chess Tournament

Ball Hockey at 7pm

Dye Easter Eggs at 8pm

Guitar with Bob at 9pm

Friday April 6: YOUTH CENTRE CLOSED for Good Friday
