ICE CREAM SOCIAL!!

Hey everyone, next Thursday June 3rd, we are challenging you to FEAR FACTOR. For you who don't know - this is a game of great skill... NOT! It is a game of dare. We will dare you to eat disgusting (mind you edible) combinations of food. Come out to win the title of Fear Factor Champion.

Friday June 4th we are holding a YC Ice Cream Social. Come out for 7pm and bring your loonies and quarters. Scoops will be $1.00 each and toppings $0.25 each. Proceeds will go back to YOUR youth centre. A great opportunity to bring a new friend, neighbour or classmate. Hope you come out to enjoy some frozen fun on Friday.

Lazy Summer Dayz....well almost

Hey YCers - After a weekend like the long weekend we just had, it can be difficult to get back into the school day routine. We are here to make it a bit easier and more enjoyable!! Tonight at the YC we are having our monthly Round Table Discussion. Tonight's topic is all things SUMMER!! That's right, hope you are bringing your grand ideas of summertime fun - we will be creating our summer calenders.

Tomorrow the arena will be closed, thus our location will be closed as well. HOWEVER WE WILL MEET AT THE JOHN MAHOOD PLAYGROUND/FIELD for some outside prelude to SUMMER. Please meet us there for 6:30pm.

Thursday we are focusing on Chemical Free Living - as our Healthy Goal for the month of May. Plan to meet at the YC for 7:00pm to participate in the discussion.

Permission forms are available for Friday evening's outing to Kitchener's Fairview Park Mall. There is no cost for this outing, but you are welcome to bring spending money for any extras you are purchasing.

Pool Tourney

If you aren't planning on hitting the Woolwich YC tonight, you should be changing your plans - We have a POOL tournament lined up...come early to reserve a spot in the game. The tourney begins @ 7:05pm sharp. As always, we have computers, Wii, Foosball & air hockey. Grab a couple friends and HANG at the Youth Centre!!

REMINDER** Youth Council meets this Thursday, May 20th @ 7:00pm in the Seniors Centre at the Woolwich Memorial Centre. Participants MUST sign in at the YC prior to heading over. Please be on time - We are excited to hear your ideas this month!!

Who wants popcorn????

Thanks to all who came out to last nights swim night!!! To all others...we had some great conversations :)

Tonight @ the YC we are having a spontaneous movie night - watching either Narnia (Prince Caspian) or Fantastic 4 -highest votes win!!! Popcorn will be a poppin'!!

Lets get this garden started...

...by coming out tonight and suggesting what you'd like to see in your Youth Centre garden. Our garden will be located in the Snyder ave. WCS Community Garden. Our plot is approximately 20-25 sq. feet large. We have enough space to plant a great garden, remember no squash (this includes pumpkin) or sunflowers. We also need some energetic volunteers who will make themselves available to plant the garden next week (weather and tilling permitted). Look forward to seeing you tonight!

Libby was HERE!!

So its true....Libby Barrie came to visit tonight. She didn't bring Puff (the Fish) or Elliott (the Elephant), but she did bring some great advice and techniques. A gigantic THANK YOU to everyone who came out and shared their ideas, experiences and concerns with Libby - I think its unanimous that we learned a great deal. THANK YOU LIBBY :)

Also, for those of you who did not get a chance to make a Mother's Day bouquet for Mom or that special "Mom" in your life - its not too late. Come out tomorrow night to the YC and get your craft on.

Update: Awesome Night of GAMES & More

Tonight at the Woolwich Youth Centre we played 20 rounds of Pictionary! TEAM FLADOODLE took on TEAM CHEESE in a close competition. We have some budding artist among us, that's for sure. Whether it was "Frosty the Snowman", "Frog" or "Peanut Butter & Jelly", our youth mastered it. Winners won a yummy prize - Way to go TEAM CHEESE!

MOTHER'S DAY is this SUNDAY - Do you have a gift for that important Mother figure in your life? We are making a crafty gift at the YC on Tuesday May 5 @7:00pm. Come out and create a make n' take for Mother's Day.

As always the Youth Centre has something for everyone (grades 6-age 19) in Woolwich Township. Come out for a game of pool, surf the net, play the Wii or meet new friends. Hope to see you all soon!!
