FRIDAY OCTOBER 26, 2012

It's the last Friday before Halloween, so we've got some frighteningly fantastic festivities planned!!

It all started on an ordinary, possibly boring Friday. But something  was amiss, things were just not right at the YC. We tried to ignore the sneaking feeling that everything was odd by writing some HALLOWEEN HAIKUS (a type pf poem, or more specifically "a major form of Japanese verse, written in 17 syllables divided into 3 lines of 5, 7 and 5 syllables and employing highly evocative allusions and comparisons") but this did little to ease our troubled minds. Then suddenly a fleeting image appears around the white board. It was trying to communicate something to us but we were lost, having no idea what this otherworldly creature was trying to tell us. One thing lead to another and before we knew it we were playing SPOOKY PICTIONARY with the ghost. His name was Casper, nice guy actually. Truly inspired by Casper's levitation skills, Anna proposed a friendly WALL SIT COMPETITION. Casper kindly did not participate but rather agreed to judge.  And finally, after all these slightly irregular occurrences of the evening started to wig us out, Anna decided it would be cool magic beans if the YC were to go to the creepiest land ever known...Palmerston. Now, what could possibly possess her to want to take the YC to Palmerston?!?! For the DALY STREET HAUNTED HOUSE of course, because no Halloween would be creepy enough without a couple of good scares and sheer cries of terror. Oh it will be fun! So bring your permission form and $5.00 and you can jump on the crazy train leaving the Youth Centre at 6:30 p.m. Anna, or possibly Batwoman or Red (haven't decided what secret identity I might bring out), dares you to join her for a scary good time.

Laters :)
